Store Room Clerk

Location: Fort Smith, AR
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Job Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a dependable and organized Store Room Clerk to join our team in Fort Smith! This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, receiving and distributing materials, and providing excellent service to both internal and external customers.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicates well, works effectively under pressure, and has experience working with auto parts or industrial parts in a warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Sort and store incoming materials in an orderly manner throughout the storeroom, warehouse, and secured outdoor areas.
• Distribute materials to appropriate personnel as requested.
• Assist employees in locating and identifying the correct materials.
• Maintain an accurate computerized inventory control system.
• Assist the Head Receiving and Shipping Coordinator with daily receiving functions.
• Provide quality customer service to all internal and external customers.
• Follow all company procedures and inventory control processes.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate records.
• Operate a forklift when needed.

Qualifications & Required Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
• Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks.
• Basic math and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work effectively with people at all levels.
• Basic computer and keyboarding skills for data entry.
• 2–3 years of experience in an auto parts or industrial parts warehouse preferred.
• Working knowledge of purchasing procedures.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift when required.
