Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary education! This position involves working closely with a caring 5th grade student who has a cognitive disability. Set in a welcoming elementary school, you’ll collaborate with educators and help provide an encouraging, structured learning environment. The schedule follows a 4-day school week, Monday through Thursday, from 7:45 am to 3:45 pm, offering an excellent work-life balance.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting is highly valued
• Familiarity with supporting students with cognitive disabilities or diverse learning needs
• Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to student growth
• Strong communication skills; able to work collaboratively with teachers, specialists, and families
• Ability to follow individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt to changing needs
• Professional reliability and punctuality

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one assistance to a 5th grade student, guiding academic and social activities
• Support the student's participation in classroom instruction and activities
• Assist with implementing instructional strategies and IEP goals under teacher direction
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Track progress and communicate observations to education staff as needed
• Encourage independence and skill development in all settings
