Overview Dietary Aide Location: Mercy Hospital - A Member of Catholic Health We're looking for a reliable and service-oriented Dietary Aide to assist with meal service, food preparation, and sanitation-ensuring our patients, staff, and visitors receive nourishing meals in a clean and welcoming environment. Job Details Job Responsibilities: * Deliver and collect patient meal trays * Set up tray line stations and follow portion control guidelines * Prepare salads, sandwiches, desserts, and restock floor refrigerators as needed * Set up beverage carts and assist with special events as assigned * Follow diet extensions and food safety guidelines to prevent cross-contamination * Clean kitchen areas and sanitize equipment according to policy * Sort, store, and handle utensils, food, and supplies properly * Operate dish room station; record dishwasher temperatures * Ensure work areas are clean and organized before breaks and at the end of the shift * Adjust to changing assignments and complete tasks within designated timeframes * Follow safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Job Requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant work experience * Prior food service experience helpful * Basic knowledge of cleaning and food production equipment preferred * Ability to read and write in English * Strong attention to detail and ability to work as part of a team Why Join Us: * Competitive pay with shift differentials * Flexible scheduling to fit your lifestyle * Supportive, team-oriented environment * Opportunities to gain experience and grow within the organization Be part of something bigger.
