Responsibilities:Serve as a key team member to provide planning advice on the U.S. cross border aspects of investment fund and transactional based workAssist with business development for the expansion of services at existing investment fund clients and attract new clients while working collaboratively with other practice groups within tax, the firm, as well non-U.S. KPMG member firms to bring the right services and experience to address and resolve client issuesManage, direct, and monitor multiple client engagements while maintaining active communication with clients in an effort to manage expectations and satisfactionResearch, write and review client tax advice relating to U.S. international tax mattersMonitor and convey to clients' information regarding U.S. technical developments as well as their application to federal and international tax issuesQualifications:Minimum eight years of recent broad experience in international and cross border U.S. taxation in relation to investment funds and cross-border M&A transactionsBachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; licensed CPA, EA, JD/LLM; in addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing; any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials; should you like to see the complete list of currently approved designations/credentials for the hiring practice/service line, your recruiter can provide you with that listWorking knowledge of international aspects of tax compliance and other quantitative oriented international tax mattersHands-on deal experience with the ability to be resourceful and manage engagements with short time frames and team effectively with a multi-discipline delivery teamStrong planning, research, and communication skills, as well as general knowledge of corporate tax complianceDemonstrated capability to develop business and build relationships with client teamsKPMG LLP and its affiliates and subsidiaries (“KPMG”) complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges.
