Role Description The Restaurant and Bar Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Fairbanks, AK, responsible for overseeing daily operations of our restaurants and bar. This role includes managing staff schedules, supervising front-of-house and bar teams, and ensuring excellent guest service throughout each shift. The manager will monitor food and beverage quality, manage inventory and ordering, and support menu planning with a focus on profitability and guest satisfaction. Daily tasks include training team members, handling guest feedback, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations. The role also involves driving sales through promotions, upselling, and community engagement, while working closely with ownership or senior management on budgeting and performance goals.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills, with a focus on hospitality, responsiveness, and guest satisfaction.
• Experience in food & beverage operations, including bar and dining room service, inventory control, and basic cost management.
• Clear and professional communication skills for interacting with guests, vendors, and team members.
• Ability to train, coach, and support staff to maintain consistent service standards and operational procedures.
• Sales-oriented mindset, including experience with upselling, promotions, and revenue-generating initiatives.
• Previous supervisory or management experience in a restaurant, bar, or similar hospitality setting preferred.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and alcohol service regulations, with a commitment to compliance.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to remain calm under pressure.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional hospitality or business education is a plus.
