Assistant Program Manager | Wellness Respite | Crisis Service

CSPNJ, a mental health nonprofit agency, is looking for a full time Assistant Program Manager for our Wellness Respite located in Haledon, NJ. Under the direction of the Program Manager the Assistant Program Manager supervises a team of Wellness Associates. The Assistant Program Manager delivers supportive services that promote a successful stay, strengthen crisis coping skills, and support guests in reaching their full potential.

· Ensures guest charts are up to date, consistent with policy and meets the DMHS regulatory guidelines. Directs team to complete all required guest chart information.

· Supports guests in identifying and developing coping strategies for daily stressors, encourages progress towards their personal vision of recovery, and assists in achieving their individual goals.

· Manages staff incidents, which are reportable to the DMHAS. Conducts record review, ensures involved guest needs are met and follow up.

· Documents staff and guest incidents, which are not reportable to DMHS, in the incident report section of Foothold including on the job injuries, vehicle accidents.

· Evaluates and approves wellness plans, ensuring quality standards and offering constructive feedback to staff.

Annual Salary: $50,000 - $55,000 depending on education & credentials

Benefit Eligible (Medical, free DMO dental & free vision) including PTO & 11 Holidays

Schedule: Saturday - Tuesday: 8:00am - 6:30pm

Requirements

· Master’s degree in a mental health/human service discipline.

· Previous experience in a supervisory role preferred.

· Demonstrated ability to analyze processes and information, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions.

· NJ Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred.

· Ability to conduct individual and group educational training to a wide range of learning levels.

· Strong assessment skills and the ability to manage crises.

· Solid organization, time management and multitask skills.

· Ability to work with individuals with mental illness in a caring and professional manner.

· Proficient in MS Office products, as well as general computer literacy.

· Bilingual skills are a plus!

· Valid NJ driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

· Lived Experience: CSPNJ prioritizes hiring people who use their life experience with a mental health diagnosis or substance use to inspire and support others.
