FLOOR TECHNICIAN LEAD (FULL TIME)

Job Summary Full‑time Floor Technician Lead responsible for training, supervising, and ensuring quality floor maintenance operations at Illumina HQ. Location: Illumina HQ – 5200 Illumina Way, San Diego, CA 92122. Online applications only. Schedule Monday‑Friday, 6:00 pm – 2:30 am. Full‑time shift. Further details during interview. Compensation Fixed rate: $21.00 per hour. $500 sign‑on bonus after 90 days. Responsibilities Conduct classroom and hands‑on training on customer service, safety, compliance, and company policies. Provide one‑on‑one training as needed. Update and provide training on the use of janitorial equipment, PPE, and chemical safety. Prepare training materials and revise them as required. Give feedback on new associates during orientation; review trainee records for compliance. Recommend disciplinary action to the training coordinator when appropriate. Perform monthly safety performance reviews to ensure OSHA, Risk Management, and other applicable requirements are met. Conduct walk‑through building inspections as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience as a floor technician (buffing, waxing, carpet care, floor scrubbing). Team leadership and supervisory experience. Knowledge of commercial cleaning methods, materials, and equipment. Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
