Job Overview Job OverviewA law firm seeks an Associate for General Liability in New York City, NY. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in defending businesses and property owners in premises liability, construction defect, product defect, and NY Labor Law cases. Duties Prepare written reports for clients and insurance companies summarizing relevant facts and case analysis. Draft written motions and legal memoranda. Appear before judges in New York City, Long Island, and Upstate NY courts; handle discovery conferences and oral arguments. Conduct depositions and prepare reports on significant testimony. Prepare cases for trial. Maintain professional, succinct, and responsive communication with clients. Requirements Admission to the New York bar is required. License in New Jersey is a plus. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications New York State Bar admission. Skills Strong knowledge of premises liability, construction defect, product defect, and NY Labor Law cases.
