The Role & Responsibilities:

As a technician, you will be expected to handle 70-80% of incoming repair orders independently.

• Mechanical Repairs: Perform full brake systems service, suspension and steering components (including 4-wheel alignments), heating/AC diagnostics, and engine bolt-on replacements (water pumps, alternators, timing belts, compressors, etc.).
• Digital Inspections: Execute thorough DVIs on every vehicle to provide customers with "peace of mind."
• Documentation: Provide clear, typed-out reports on repair orders so service advisors can effectively explain the "why" and "how" to the customer. No verbal or sticky note reports.
• Shop Flow: Maintain a low "comeback" rate by verifying repairs with a test drive every time. Demonstrate the ability to multi-task by managing multiple repair orders simultaneously.

 

Technical Requirements

• Experience: 3+ years of professional experience as an Automotive Technician.
• Diagnostic Proficiency: Skilled in using professional scan tools (Snap-On, Autel, etc.) to read data and perform bi-directional tests. Basic electrical proficiency with a Multimeter (DVOM) is required.
• Efficiency: Ability to meet or exceed weekly efficiency goals ("beating the book").
• Tools: Must possess a comprehensive set of hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment (Chino Autotech Inc. will also provide specialty tools/diagnostic equipment).
• Requirements: Valid driver’s license and a "fix it right the first time" mentality.
