Job Summary:

The Technical Officer serves as the senior technical leader of the organization and is responsible for the strategic direction, quality, and execution of all engineering, utility design, and technical operations. Reporting directly to the CEO/Founder, this leader oversees engineering, project management, design, and utility coordination functions to ensure exceptional project delivery, operational excellence, profitability, and client satisfaction.

·         Partner with the CEO/Founder to establish and execute the company strategic vision and growth initiatives. 

• Serve as the company technical authority on utility design and engineering matters. 

·         Oversee utility design and engineering activities and maintain relationships with utility companies, municipalities, developers and contractors. 

·         Direct, manage and mentor engineering, project management, and drafting personnel. 

·         Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget and in accordance with quality standards. 

·         Identify technical, operational and regulatory risks and implement mitigation strategies. 

·         Establish QA/QC programs. 

• Drive strategic planning, growth initiatives, and operational performance. 
• Assist with coordinating, prioritization and scheduling of project tasks.
• Recommend the hire, transfer, suspension, discipline and discharge of subordinate employees.
• Attend and participate in various meetings, conferences, and seminars.
• Facilitate lessons learned meeting with Project Team and identify process recommendations as appropriate.
• Work with the Project Managers to increase overall efficiency.
• Provide weekly summary to the President/CEO.
• As requested, provide statistical information via reports.
• Responsible for handling conflict resolution with clients and identifying remediation efforts.
• Ensure adherence to legal rules, utility guidelines and standards.
• Regularly stand for prolonged periods of time over the course of an 8-hour day.
• Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e. a calculator, copy machine, printer, computer, etc.).
• Frequently ascends/descends stairs or takes elevator.
• Frequently communicates to exchange information via written, auditory and oral communication.
• Ability to work up to 40 hours per week, including overtime if needed. and
• Other duties as assigned.
