The Associate Buyer secures raw materials, components, and services at the right cost, quality, and timing to keepFlexfabproduction running smoothly. The role builds vendor relationships,maintainsaccurate purchasing data, and lives our HEARTS values every day. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Place&track purchase orders that meet material specifications&required dates Compare quotesandrecommend cost-effective options thatmeetallstandards Maintainaccuratelead times, pricing, and delivery status in the ERP system Monitor open orders, follow up on late deliveries, and communicate changes to stakeholders Resolve order discrepancies quickly with Quality, Production, and Accounting Prepare basicspend-analysisreports showing savings&supplier performance Support vendor onboarding and performance reviews withtimely,accuratedata Participate in cross-functional meetings, offering respectful input that drives shared success Communicate transparently,ownmistakes, and seek feedback for continuous learning Contribute ideas that improve cost, efficiency, or service Success Measures On-time delivery: purchaseditems arrive when needed, meeting department targets Costperformance: meets or improves cost-saving and cost-avoidance department goals Data accuracy: keeps ERPpurchasingdata within the accuracy threshold Issue resolution: closespurchasingdiscrepancies withinneededturnaround time Continuous improvement: regularly contributesverified process improvements andcompletesthe personal development plan Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered One or more years of experience in purchasing, supply chain or a similar manufacturing/operations support role Working Conditions Regular use of computer system, purchasing software, email and telephone communication Primary On-site office environment within a manufacturing facility Frequent interaction with suppliers, production personnel – cross functional team Limited travel for supplier visits or training may berequired Core Competencies- Individual Contributor Decision Quality Drives results Plans and Aligns Collaborates Action Oriented Situational Adaptability Instills Trust Communicatees Effectively Ensures Accountability Models Flexfab’s HEARTS Values: Honesty – Do the right thing Excellence – Continuously search for ways to exceed expectations Accountability – Take accountability Respect – Recognize the values of each associate Teamwork – Collaborate, communicate, take action Support – Individuals, organizations, & community Flexfab is an equal opportunity employer, to all protected groups, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities.
