Middle School Physical Education/Health Teacher

Job TitleDAYS PER YEAR: 185 DAYS PER WEEK: 5 HOURS PER DAY: 7.75POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Candidates who champion a growth mindset and promote a sense of inquiry for all students are greatly valued in our educational organization. The selected candidate will possess an ability to ignite students' interest in physical education and health and engage students in meaningful learning opportunities through project-based inquiry. Responsible for physical education and health curricula and instruction for middle school students.QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; K-8 New Hampshire elementary education certification, New Hampshire certification in K-12 physical education, New Hampshire certification in health education, or the ability to receive a statement of eligibility through the Department of Education. Must possess knowledge of effective practices including principles, theories, techniques involved in lesson plan development and classroom instruction. Strong classroom management skills including experience. PREFERRED: Two years or more of middle school teaching experience and experience with competency-based education.
