You’ll be the technical problem-solver connecting engineering, CAD, operations, quality, and the foundry floor to turn good designs into good castings.If you’ve spent years looking at a casting and thinking, “I know why that happened and I know how to fix it,” this could be your next move.WHAT YOU’LL OWNYou’ll play a key role in improving how we make castings by:Reviewing and approving gating and pattern designsWorking with CAD on MAGMASOFT simulation results and process improvementsPartnering directly with foundry foremen and supervisors on green sand and air-set jobsInvestigating casting defects and troubleshooting quality and porosity issuesLeading efforts to reduce scrap on high-loss jobsParticipating in daily MRB reviews and driving corrective actionsSupporting new-job sampling and launch activitiesAssisting with RFQs, quoting, and process developmentDeveloping and improving process sheetsParticipating in lean manufacturing and cost-reduction initiativesServing as a hands-on technical resource throughout the plantTHIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF...You have real foundry experience and understand that the best engineering solutions don't always come from behind a computer.You can:Read and understand process sheetsInspect castings and coresInvestigate casting defects and identify root causesUnderstand gating, pattern design, and porosityCommunicate technical information clearly with operators, supervisors, and engineersWalk onto the foundry floor and work through a problem with the teamTurn a scrap problem into a process improvementWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORRequired:High school diploma5+ years of foundry experienceStrong problem-solving and communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a manufacturing environmentWHY THIS ROLE MATTERSYour work directly impacts casting quality, scrap, cost, customer satisfaction, and production performance.
