Jackson Parish Correctional Center, 327 Industrial Dr, Jonesboro, LA 71251, USA Locations Jackson Parish Correctional Center, 327 Industrial Dr, Jonesboro, LA 71251, USA Rate: $19.86 USD per hour Service Workers Full-Time Requisition #: TRANS002337 Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections on all vehicles, providing written Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) after trip or shift. Report all potential safety defects to the Transportation Supervisor. Ensure all necessary paperwork for the transfer of inmates/detainees is completed in accordance with LaSalle’s Transport, LLC policies and contractual agreements. Provide custody safety and security of offenders/detainees, managing transfers between agencies. Read, review, and apply information from inmate records related to health, safety, and facility security, and provide appropriate information to other personnel. Observe all applicable traffic laws, drive within posted speed limits, and wear safety belts. All drivers maintain defensive driving practices per policy and procedures. Maintain sanitation of transport vehicles by cleaning after every transfer, including sinks, toilets, and lavatories, and log maintenance. Promote positive social skills by modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed. Maintain accountability of staff, inmates, and property, adhering to safety practices. Perform other duties as assigned within capabilities as determined by management. Comply with Federal, State, FMCSA, and DOT Regulations. Required Knowledge Skills/Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time‑management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to function well in a high‑paced and at times stressful environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Education and Experience Must be at least 23 years of age. Valid driver’s license with a clear MVR for three (3) years. Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse – DOT (required). Required to maintain specific State and Federal licenses due to contractual agreements.
