Senior Warehouse Associate

Job Description This position typically starts at $20-$22 per hour and works primarily day shift during weekdays typically (at times will work a variable schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays). Team members begin accruing PTO starting on day one, and full-time employees are eligible for benefits after 90 days. The Senior Warehouse Associate serves as the lead hourly operator and on-floor subject matter expert for warehouse activities, responsible for coordinating daily receiving, inventory control, requisition fulfillment, internal distribution, and warehouse workflow execution. This role extends beyond task completion and includes real-time prioritization, issue resolution, training support, procedural reinforcement, and oversight of control-sensitive activities in a regulated casino environment. The Senior Associate acts as the bridge between frontline execution and supervisory oversight, helping ensure that work is completed accurately, efficiently, safely, and in alignment with internal controls, service expectations, and operational deadlines. Qualifications
- Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance; arrives on time in a clean uniform with required name tag, ID, and licenses, ready to work with a positive, ready-to-learn attitude.

- Lead and support daily receiving operations to ensure inbound product is unloaded, verified, documented, and routed accurately.
- Review purchase orders, packing slips, invoices, and delivery paperwork to validate quantity, item accuracy, and receiving completeness.
- Make real-time decisions regarding dock prioritization, staging sequence, unloading order, and space utilization based on operational demand.
- Identify damaged goods, shortages, overages, and vendor discrepancies; determine immediate containment steps and escalate unresolved issues appropriately.
- Act as the lead hourly contact for receiving issues and coordinate communication with supervisors, purchasing, vendors, and impacted departments when exceptions occur.
- Lead cycle counts, monthly inventories, spot checks, and variance follow-up activities to support inventory integrity and audit readiness.
- Monitor warehouse organization, labeling, slotting, and stock rotation standards to ensure controlled storage conditions and efficient retrieval.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify probable root causes, and recommend or implement corrective actions within approved procedures.
- Serve as the first level of review for unusual inventory movements, missing product, incorrect receipts, or fulfillment variances before escalation.
- Partner with finance, accounting, and warehouse leadership on inventory adjustments, reconciliations, and documentation support when needed. Order Fulfillment & Property Distribution Ownership
- Coordinate and prioritize requisition fulfillment based on operational urgency, business volume, and department needs across the property.
- Verify pick accuracy, staging completeness, and timely delivery of supplies to food and beverage, hotel, facilities, and other operating departments.
- Reassign or redirect workflow during high-volume periods to maintain service levels and minimize delays in distribution.
- Support and oversee the movement of large, high-value, or operationally critical assets such as refrigeration units, kitchen equipment, furniture, and similar items.
- Act as the first escalation point for issues involving delayed fulfillment, incorrect deliveries, backorders, or special handling requirements. Warehouse Operations & Team Coordination
- Act as lead on shift by helping direct day-to-day warehouse activity, balancing workloads, and reinforcing execution priorities established by warehouse leadership.
- Provide guidance to warehouse associates on receiving flow, put-away, picking, staging, equipment usage, housekeeping expectations, and safe work practices.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new team members, including reinforcement of procedures, documentation standards, and department routines.
- Monitor floor activity and proactively adjust labor or task assignments to support throughput, organization, and service continuity.
- Recommend opportunities for process improvement related to space utilization, material flow, dock control, and fulfillment efficiency.
Safety, Compliance & Internal Controls - Reinforce warehouse safety expectations and ensure all team members follow established procedures for lifting, material handling, equipment usage, and housekeeping.
- Monitor adherence to OSHA, Health Department, company safety standards, and internal control requirements applicable to warehouse operations.
- Ensure controlled and compliant handling of inventory transactions, documentation, and physically sensitive or restricted materials in a regulated environment.
- Verify that PIT equipment is operated only by authorized personnel and that daily practices align with certification and safety expectations.
- Escalate safety concerns, policy violations, control failures, and equipment issues promptly while taking immediate action to reduce operational risk where appropriate. Service & Culture Expectations
- Model a professional, service-oriented approach in support of internal departments, vendors, and team members, consistent with family-style service expectations.
- Maintain strong communication with supervisors and internal customers regarding warehouse priorities, service disruptions, and issue resolution status.
- Set the daily tone for accountability, teamwork, punctuality, and professionalism through visible leadership and reliable execution.
- Report to work prepared and in compliance with appearance, identification, and uniform standards, helping reinforce those expectations across the team.
- Promote a positive work environment by supporting collaboration, respectful communication, and consistent follow-through on department commitments.
- Must be at least 18 yrs. of age.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Communicates effectively and maintains positive working relationships with guests, coworkers, and management.
- Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.

- Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull a minimum of 25 pounds or more above and below shoulder level, with the ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
- Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, squatting, climbing ladders, and moving heavy loads throughout the shift.
- Ability to maintain strenuous activity for prolonged periods, including an entire shift as operationally required.
- Ability to work in extremely cold temperatures, including freezer or cold-storage environments up to minus 20 degrees.
- Ability to work effectively in loud, fast-paced, high-traffic areas with dust, bright lights, and exposure to second-hand smoke.
- Ability to maneuver safely around warehouse, dock, back-of-house, and office areas while responding to visual and aural cues.
- Ability to remain effective under time constraints, changing priorities, and stressful operating conditions.
- Schedule & Availability
- Role generally supports day-shift operations, but schedule flexibility is required based on business volume and operational coverage needs.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift based on business demands or staffing requirements.

- Competitive hourly rate aligned to a lead-level warehouse position; rate may reflect experience and internal market placement.

- Role Distinction / Lead Expectations
- This role is differentiated from the Warehouse Associate position by its increased responsibility for coordinating work, guiding others, resolving day-to-day issues, and protecting process accuracy.
- While the Warehouse Associate primarily executes assigned tasks, the Senior Warehouse Associate helps ensure the work gets done correctly, efficiently, and consistently across the shift.
- The Senior Warehouse Associate is expected to function as the first line of operational leadership below formal supervision and to provide a stronger layer of accountability for execution and controls.
