Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night and Day Shift available Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in CVICU and knowledge of NextStage CVVH machine required License: Active RN license required Certifications: AHA BLS and ACLS required; Basic Arrhythmia experience required Must-Have: Telemetry test required for clearance Description: Shifts consist of 8 and 12-hour rotations, with varying hours throughout the day and night. Every other weekend and some holidays are required. CVICU experience is mandatory. Experience in a Cardiothoracic Surgery Unit or Acuity Adaptable area is preferred. Nurses must manage complex patient needs and maintain effective communication with the healthcare team. The unit specializes in cardiothoracic surgery, heart and lung transplants, and various cardiac medical patients. Nurses will care for 1 to 2 patients, with a maximum of 3 patients if acuity is low. Dynamic assignments change frequently to accommodate patient transfers and admissions. The unit provides a supportive environment with interdisciplinary support services available. Specialized equipment and procedures are utilized in patient care. Successful candidates will demonstrate consistent, high-quality care management and be resourceful in a fast-paced setting. Pass/fail telemetry testing is required prior to starting the assignment.
