Job Title Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) – Inpatient Hematology – Rotational Department James | Inpatient Nurse Practitioner & Physician Assistant Scope of Position The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing health care services to patients within the parameters of a standard care or supervisory agreement with an attending physician member of the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. The APP collaborates with a physician(s) and other clinicians to provide a full scope of patient care, focusing on preventive health and the management of acute and/or stable chronic conditions. Medical services performed are those specifically authorized by the credentialing body and certifying organization through which the APP holds licensure. Position Summary The APP provides health care services to patients in collaboration with a licensed physician member of the medical staff. Services include care during acute and chronic phases of illness, education, counseling of individuals and families, health promotion and prevention, and referral to other healthcare providers and community resources when appropriate. Minimum Qualifications Current certificate of authority to practice as an APRN in the State of Ohio. Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program qualified to sit for a national certification exam recognized by the Ohio Board of Nursing. Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). Experience required: 0 years, preferred: 0–2 years. Or graduate of a PA-C program qualified to sit for the NCCPA exam; eligibility for Ohio licensure as PA‑C. Experience required: 0 years, preferred: 0–2 years.
