Project Engineer

Position Summary and Responsibilities The Project Engineer will deliver fully compliant manufacturing packages for 'New Unit' and 'Retrofit' projects across the Power Generation, Oil & Gas and Marine markets served by the Company. The Engineer will gain experience by working with a broad range of customers including major OEM's while working with a Senior Engineer. Main Duties Work to produce zero safety issues within the workplace and our products Ensure first class customer service experience with timely & accurate technical support Ensure consistency between Technical Proposal and contract specifications Maintain project schedules to deliver assigned projects on time and within budget Manage sub-contract (external) design teams to deliver design packages on time and within budget Create designs compliant to customer specifications and applicable regulatory codes and standards Provide fully engineered manufacturing packages for successful fabrication of our products including specification & creation of datasheets for purchased components Create ‘Long Lead’ and ‘Final’ Bill of Materials (BOMs) within ERP system Perform internal and external design status review for each technical area of assigned responsibility Commercially aware and quick to identify & support scope change opportunities to the Project Manager Specify and support drawing and design activities including review/verification Technical interface, liaising with Design Engineers, Drawing Office, QA, Suppliers & Customers Make best use of pre-engineered components and contribute to standardization initiatives Create Installation Operation & Maintenance manuals (IOM’s) Prompt Resolution of Technical/concession requests with consideration to schedule and cost impact Key Accountabilities Zero safety issues Zero defects On Time Delivery (OTD) >90% Fabrication Documentation Package Customer Documentation Package Meet Budget hours +/- 15% Additional Responsibilities US Export Control Lead Qualifications Engineering degree Mechanical Engineering - Preferred Review 3D models and 2D drawings to ensure successful defect free design for manufacture - cost reduction, access for welds, access for painting, drain systems, clash detection etc. Awareness of international engineering standards, regulations and export control requirements Software: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, CAD experience, ERP experience Full driving license Ability to travel in and outside the USA, up to 15% Key Competencies Teamwork: Work towards a common goal Responsibility: Capable of independent action & judgement Decision Making: Make accurate decisions within a short timescale Communication: Effective at all levels across business, customers and suppliers Learning: Effectively work with Senior Engineers to gain knowledge of the product and decision making Trustworthy & Ethical: Honest & open with sound moral judgement Results Oriented: Strong drive to deliver with budget and schedule Problem Solving: Calm analytical approach to providing a good solutionOrganizational Skills: Prioritize efficiently to meet commitments Detail Orientation: Produce accurate defect free information Responsiveness: Flexible and able to adapt quickly to changing requirements Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule Benefit & Retirement Plans Parker offers competitive benefit programs, including: Comprehensive coverage for medical, prescription drugs, dental, vision, voluntary optional life, accident insurance, hospital indemnity insurance and critical illness insurance with competitive premium cost. 401(k) Plan with company matching contributions at 100% of the first 5% of pay Company provided defined-contribution retirement plan with annual contribution equal to 3% of pay Career development and tuition reimbursement Additional benefits including paid parental leave, short and long-term disability programs, adoption assistance, Care.com membership and financial planning assistance are provided at no cost to you.
