Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Medical Imaging - CT position at a Level II Trauma Center in rural South Dakota, open to first-time travelers with at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Level II Trauma Center located in rural South Dakota
• Medical Imaging - CT department with 4 Siemens scanners
• Heavy trauma patient population including falls, MVAs, GSWs, and stabbings
• Scans performed across Inpatient, ED, and Outpatient settings, including higher-level scans such as angiograms
• ED volume of approximately 60–70 scans per 24 hours; Outpatient volume of approximately 50 scans per day
• Primarily night shifts on a varied schedule; specific schedule discussed during interview with leadership
• 10-hour variable shifts, 40 hours per week
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• No on-call required
• No floating within or outside the department
• Epic EMR preferred but not required

Requirements

• Current BLS and ARRT-CT certifications required
• Must have graduated from an accredited Radiology Program qualifying for ARRT (R)(CT) certification
• Minimum of 1 year of CT experience required
• Experience at a comparable facility in terms of size and acuity preferred
• CTA experience preferred
• No state licensure required; license required if applicable
• DOB and SSN required for consideration
• 2 professional references dated within the past year required for consideration

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• A second CT Technologist is always on shift with you, providing 24/7 departmental support
• Orientation is 2 weeks
• Scrub color is black; scrubs are also provided by the facility
• Free parking available on-site
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Travelers at this facility are highly valued and renewals are common
