Senior Project Manager

Are you an experienced project manager who thrives in complex software implementation projects and enjoys combining commercial awareness with strong customer leadership? We are looking for a Senior Project Manager based in the Atlanta area to join our international PMO team and drive successful customer implementations from proposal to delivery. Configit is a software company headquartered in Denmark, with an office in Atlanta. We operate internationally and empower large enterprises by providing software products and solutions that support complex processes in engineering, manufacturing, sales, and service. Our typical customers are global manufacturing companies, including organizations in the automotive and industrial machinery industries. As a Senior Project Manager, you lead customer implementations with a clear focus on driving customer success and business value. You play a cornerstone role in ensuring successful outcomes not only for the customer but also for Configit. From proposal through to value realisation, you ensure delivery is on time, within scope, and aligned with customer goals. As a trusted partner, you orchestrate cross-functional teams, manage scope and risks, and continuously drive outcomes that strengthen customer satisfaction, retention, and growth. Responsibilities Support the final stages of the sales process by shaping projects and helping create clear statements of work and project plans Lead implementation projects and proofs of concept with full responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and customer communication Establish and coordinate cross-functional project teams Manage project risks, changes, escalations, and stakeholder expectations throughout the delivery lifecycle Track progress, financial performance, estimates to complete, forecasting, and invoicing readiness Prepare customer-facing and internal project reporting based on company standards Drive customer acceptance and successful project closure Work closely with Solution Architects, Implementation Leads, Sales, Finance, Product, Operations, and Customer Success Use modern tools, including AI, in a secure and effective way, to support planning, decision-making, and communication Profile You bring 5+ years of project management experience delivering complex software projects to large external customers You have a strong background in managing software implementations within complex IT landscapes and ideally come from an external consulting environment You are confident with project management tools, agile methods, software lifecycle management, estimation, budgeting, and facilitation techniques You combine strong commercial acumen with excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills You are a proactive, professional communicator who can adapt your leadership style to the situation and build trust across functions and cultures You enjoy taking responsibility and driving results while maintaining a high level of customer focus You are open to occasional travel What we offer A high-performing, collaborative PMO team A culture shaped by our values: Business Focus, One Team, Knowledge, Can Do Attitude, and Move Fast The opportunity to work with large global customers Close collaboration across functions in an international environment Highly skilled colleagues and a strong culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning Excellent health care benefits and a 401(k) plan 15 days paid vacation, plus one additional day for each year of seniority (up to 10 days) Paid holidays A flexible hybrid work model for employees based in the Atlanta area, combining remote work with time in our Atlanta office At Configit, we are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where our employees can thrive.
