Registered Nurse - Mixed Unit Telemetry

Location: Titusville, FL

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day shift, 4x12-hour schedule (07:00 - 19:00), requiring every other weekend and floating within scope.

Job Description: Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a mixed unit telemetry department. The ideal candidate will possess strong telemetry skills and high acuity experience. The role involves caring for a patient ratio of 1:6, floating as necessary within the unit's scope, and working with a rapid response team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a high-acuity mixed unit.
• Monitor patients' condition and administer medications as per protocols.
• Participate in rapid response and management of patients with cardiac issues.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, including therapy and social services.
• Document patient care activities using Meditech.
• Work with total joints and high-acuity patients, ensuring adherence to care standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a telemetry or mixed unit nursing role.
• Current RN license in Florida or compact state.
• Certification in ACLS, BCLS, and NIHSS.
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmias, and managing cardiac drips (no titration).
• Rapid response team experience and total joint care background are strongly preferred.
