We bring together world-class resources and the latest innovative technologies to help define the cities and experiences of tomorrow.This is a Technical position within the Power Delivery unit of Arcadis. The position consisting in the coordination/development of the Power System Planning & Study team, and and/or performing HVAC and/or HVDC planning/feasibility studies, interconnection studies, transient studies and systems analysis investigations for clients in North America primarily, but also globally. The incumbent will also work closely with other Power Delivery departments, including the Substation Engineering, Transmission Engineering, Protection & Control Engineering, the Renewables teams, as well as with other Arcadis divisions on related system studies and power sector master plans. As part of the Power Delivery team, you will help improve quality of life. Role accountabilities:Support, develop, and deliver various complex power system study & planning project within regulated, non-regulated, developer, or other industrial clients Perform and review power systems analysis activities including load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability, electromagnetic transient, small-signal stability analysis, system impact study, reliability analysis etc.Perform planning/system performance studies and transient studies for compliance with prevailing standards and criteria and good engineering practice.Delivery of accurate and thorough planning, studies, system design, report summary and other client system study deliverables that will meet industry standards and specifications and meet good engineering practice with excellent constructability.Responsible for QA on client reports and deliverables Maintaining close coordination and help other relevant Arcadis Business Units and Practices for cross selling and cross staffing opportunities. As well as Develop project scopes, budgets, and proposalsWe are seeking an individual with a strong team player mindset and excellent communication skills to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate effectively with colleagues. Additionally, this position may involve travel of up to 25% to client sites and customer meetings, both within North America and potentially internationally.Qualifications & Experience:Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree preferredMinimum 5 years of direct experience within power system study analysis and planning Must be proficient with the PSSE software package, including load-flow, short-circuit and transient stability analysis. Experience with alternative planning software applications, including TARA, PSLF, DigSILENT, or DSA Tools, is highly desirableMust be familiar and experienced with key North American Market Operators (i.e. MISO, PJM, NE-ISO, NY-ISO, CAISO, ERCOT, SSP, AESO, IESO) policies, guidelines, regulations, rules, requirements and criteria as applicable to grid interconnection, performance and planning, especially related to bulk power systems.Preferred Qualifications PE licenseWhy Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
