Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS

Must-Have: Trauma experience required; Pulmonary function testing (Spirometry testing) preferred

Description: The individual will be responsible for managing non-invasive ventilation and conventional ventilation. Aerosol therapy and bedside pulmonary function tests will also be part of the responsibilities. Performing arterial lines and managing oxygen therapy will be essential. Patient education will be an important aspect of the role. The therapist will perform arterial blood gases and capillary blood gases, and draw from lines. The patient population includes infants to geriatrics, with a primary focus on adult patients. The environment is a level 2 trauma center, interventional stroke certified, as well as a level 3 NICU. Experience in trauma care is required, and preferred experience includes working with pediatric intubated patients. The role entails using various unit systems effectively. The therapist may need to float within the facility as needed. Weekend coverage is expected as this position requires work every other weekend. The individual will be compliant with all onboarding requirements to start on time.
