SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST / SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST

Professional Alternatives has partnered with a multi-billion-dollar global company to identify a Senior Business Analyst / Senior Financial Analyst for a highly visible role supporting Finance Operations and Shared Services.

This is not a traditional FP&A or reporting position. It is a hybrid role sitting at the intersection of data analytics, finance, and operations , with an emphasis on turning data into actionable business improvements and then helping drive those improvements through execution.

THE ROLE

This position has three key components:

DATA & ANALYTICS

• Extract, validate, organize and analyze data from multiple business systems
• Develop reporting, dashboards and decision-support tools
• Partner with IT to improve data accessibility, quality and usability
• Translate business questions into meaningful analysis and actionable insights
• Help create trusted, consistent sources of information across Finance and Operations

FINANCE & OPERATIONS

• Analyze financial and operational processes across areas including AP, AR, Billing and Procurement
• Identify process breakdowns, inefficiencies and root causes
• Develop recommendations that improve financial and operational performance
• Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Shared Services and IT

EXECUTION

• Take analysis beyond identifying the problem—help drive the solution
• Support process improvement, systems enhancements and strategic initiatives
• Translate findings into practical recommendations and follow through on implementation
• Help move initiatives from concept through execution and measurable improvement

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 2+ years of progressive experience in finance, business analysis, operations, data analytics or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with large datasets, reporting tools and/or data models
• Ability to understand both the financial and operational side of the business
• Experience partnering with technical or IT teams on reporting, integrations or data solutions
• Ability to identify root causes, develop recommendations and drive follow-through
• ERP experience; SAP preferred
• Databricks or similar data-platform exposure is a plus
• Strong Excel and data-analysis capabilities
