L&D RN - Nights

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) will provide comprehensive care to patients during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. This role requires a strong ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients in a high-stress environment, ensuring effective communication with medical staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients' conditions throughout labor and delivery.
• Facilitate effective communication between patients, their families, and healthcare teams.
• Perform assessments and implement appropriate interventions to ensure patient safety.
• Document patient care and outcomes in compliance with hospital policy.
• Participate in patient education regarding childbirth and postnatal care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license and certification as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience in labor and delivery nursing strongly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
• Compliance with all health and safety regulations as per facility policies.
