A Level Automotive Technician - $50-$75/Flagged Hr - 4-Day Week

Location: East Hampton, New York
Schedule: Tuesday-Friday, 7:00 AM-6:00 PM
Pay Rate: $50-$75 per flagged hour, depending on experience
Pay Type: Flat rate
Pay Schedule: Weekly

We are seeking a High A Level Automotive Technician in East Hampton, New York, for a family-owned, full-service automotive repair facility that has served the community for more than 30 years. This opportunity offers $50-$75 per flagged hour, depending on experience, a four-day workweek, and a climate-controlled shop. The facility services all makes and models, with approximately 80% European vehicles and additional high-end, classic, rare, exotic, foreign, and motorsports vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical vehicle concerns using professional diagnostic equipment.
• Perform advanced repairs involving engine, transmission, electrical, brake, steering, suspension, and HVAC systems.
• Service and repair a diverse mix of European, high-end, classic, rare, exotic, foreign, and motorsports vehicles.
• Use Autel, AutoLogic, DrivePro, and Snap-on diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle concerns.
• Perform wheel alignments using Hunter alignment equipment.
• Complete digital vehicle inspections and accurately document findings using Tekmetric.
• Perform routine automotive repair and maintenance services as needed.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship, attention to detail, and follow-through on every vehicle.

Qualifications

• Advanced automotive diagnostic and repair skills consistent with an A-Level Automotive Technician role.
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic abilities.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing engine, transmission, electrical, brake, steering, suspension, and HVAC systems.
• Proficiency with professional automotive scan tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to work effectively across a diverse mix of vehicle makes, models, and systems.
• Ability to accurately document repair findings and digital vehicle inspections.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to completing quality repairs.

The Tuesday-Friday schedule provides a consistent four-day workweek. For candidates commuting from farther west on Long Island, the shop also offers a commuter-train option with transportation from the train station to the facility.
