Clamp Truck / Forklift Operator

We are seeking an experienced Clamp Truck / Forklift Operator to support warehouse and manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for safely handling materials, staging and loading units, and ensuring all products meet quality and documentation standards prior to shipment. The position plays a key role in maintaining accuracy, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Stage units in the warehouse and safely load and unload trailers in an organized manner
• Ensure all units are properly banded and clearly labeled with visible load tags prior to shipment
• Perform final visual quality inspections on all materials to identify damage, missing straps, or defects
• Verify unit counts and truck/carrier counts, ensuring all paperwork is accurate and complete
• Operate clamp trucks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment safely and in accordance with company procedures
• Read and interpret production schedules, including the wet end run schedule, to prepare appropriate materials
• Lay out and stage rolls for upcoming production runs
• Assist with peeling, prepping, and handling damaged rolls; ensure damaged materials are not returned to stock
• Prepare butt rolls for return to the roll room according to established processes
• Unload trucks and railcars while following proper documentation and safety procedures
• Use RF scanners and inventory systems to track materials and maintain accurate records
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area to support efficient operations and proper stock rotation
• Report safety concerns, incidents, or process issues promptly and complete required safety training

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience operating clamp trucks and forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Experience with reach trucks, stand-up forklifts, or similar equipment
• Ability to safely handle rolls and materials using clamp truck equipment
• Proficiency with RF scanners and inventory tracking systems
• Ability to read and interpret production schedules and work instructions
• Strong attention to detail for quality inspections and inventory verification
• Reliable attendance and ability to work extended or flexible hours as needed
• Strong communication skills and commitment to safety standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in paper, packaging, or similar production environments
• Familiarity with handling paper rolls, butt rolls, and related materials
• Experience unloading trucks or railcars using documented procedures
• Ability to collaborate with production teams to support material flow
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
• Willingness to cross-train and learn additional equipment or responsibilities

Shift & Pay

• 3rd Shift: Midnight 8:00 AM (Sunday night Friday morning)
• Training: Employees will train on 1st shift (4:00 AM 4:00 PM) for 4-6 weeks
• Pay Range: $22.00 $26.00 per hour (based on experience)
• Overtime available based on production needs

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Cottage Grove, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $52000.00/yr. Health Vision Dental 401K PTO Monthly Bonus eligibility pending on company profitability
