Paramedic

Day shifts 06:00 - 18:30, every other weekend required.

Contract length: 13 weeks, guaranteed 36-40 hours/week, with the facility able to call off up to 3 times throughout the assignment.

Requirements

• New Mexico EMS License or Provisional
• NREMT certification
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Experience in a correctional facility preferred
• Skills in advanced cardiac care, IV maintenance, and managing acute medical situations

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care to incarcerated individuals and correctional staff.
• Perform cardioversion, defibrillation, and manage dysrhythmias.
• Maintain accurate patient records and follow protocols for emergency situations.
• Administer medication and perform medical procedures as necessary.
• Assess patients and respond to life-threatening situations accordingly.

Compliance / Notes

Must adhere to a smoke-free facility policy at all times. COVID vaccination is optional, but vaccination numbers must be reported. No locals within 100 miles will be considered.
