Sample Coordinator

Hello! We are looking for a dedicated Samples Coordinator to join the team! Del Real Foods is a traditional Mexican food manufacturer born out of a family farm. Today, Del Real Food makes tamales, carnitas, salsas, and other recipes inspired by the Cardenas' native Jalisco -- all created by hand with fresh ingredients and nothing artificial.

1. Follows and enforces employee's safety procedures
2. Report any unsafe conditions to immediate supervisor or manager
3. Follow, Monitor, and Enforce all food safety procedures
4. Follows and enforces SQF requirements (Facilities, Equipment, SSOP, SOP, GMP's, and ETC)
5. Follows and enforces USDA & FDA guidelines and regulations.
6. Follow Company Policies, Regulations, and Lunch & Break Policies

1. Processing of Del Real product samples requests - proactively improve current process.
   1. Receive sample request from sales team, process on a timely basis.
   2. Ensure product samples meet company quality standards and customer specifications before shipments.
   3. Send sample confirmations to sales team
   4. Request Sales Orders (SO) from customer service if needed
   5. Print samples labels
   6. Track shipments and follow up to confirm receipt.
2. Maintain Samples area clean and organized
   1. Provide weekly samples' inventory at the plant (Samples Room) and include if any inventory is stored at Inland DC.
   2. Limit samples area waste
   3. If product's shelf life is 2 weeks or less, please coordinate donation or employee giveaway.
3. Deliver samples to customers if needed.
4. Provide R & D with assistance on all pertinent projects
   1. Assist with all necessary sample shipping materials
   2. Assist with all bench top samples organization and inform R & D team when samples are being completed
   3. Pull products and/or ingredients for R&D from the plant
5. Attend events, road shows and assist the marketing department if needed.

1. Ability to work 40 hours a week
2. Excellent interpersonal skills
3. Valid California Driver's License
4. Strong computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
5. Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
6. Strong Attention to detail and accuracy

1. Food Handling Certification (preferred)
2. Fork lift driving certification (preferred)
