Responsibilities: Develop and implement music instruction designed to promote effective student learning and enhance student creativity. Promote the educational growth of students in accordance with individualized educational plans (IEP). Assess student music progress and encourage and guide individual student growth throughout the school year. Relate to culturally diverse students. Qualifications Required: Valid New Jersey Teacher of Music Certification or an equivalent certificate required by the State of New Jersey Board of Examiners. Experience assessing students’ musical needs through teaching and observations. Ability to translate diagnostic data into appropriate instructional plans. Creative use of internal and external resources. Effective communication with students, parents, and staff. Willingness to work with students with diverse needs. Ability to maintain a positive learning environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Physical and mental capacity to perform major job responsibilities, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
