Job Description

Position Overview\n

Join our dedicated team at Life Long Counseling Services as a Full-Time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), where you'll play a critical role in delivering compassionate care to individuals experiencing significant mental health challenges. This position allows for remote work, offering you the flexibility to provide support effectively from your own environment while serving patients who need it most.

About the Organization\n

Life Long Counseling Services is committed to fostering healthier communities by providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to medically underserved areas. Our mission revolves around ensuring quality healthcare is accessible regardless of an individual's ability to pay. By focusing on both local needs and broader health trends, we aspire to set a benchmark for other health centers, embodying excellence in service delivery and compassionate care.

Work Environment\n

This position is hosted remotely, allowing you the flexibility to manage your workload while collaborating with a diverse team of professionals dedicated to mental health. Although remote, this role does require interaction with clients primarily through virtual platforms, ensuring you maintain a personal connection while offering psychological support. Your contributions will directly impact our hospice center’s care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to enhance service delivery.

Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Act as a primary clinician, engaging with assigned clients both within office hours and in community settings to address symptoms related to major mental illnesses and severe emotional disorders.
  • \n
  • Build and maintain positive rapport with clients, demonstrating trustworthiness and respect for diverse backgrounds, traditions, and beliefs.
  • \n
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to foster a team-oriented environment, advancing shared goals while ensuring the highest standards of service.
  • \n
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, utilizing evidence-based and developmentally appropriate screening tools, to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective care planning.
  • \n
  • Create and implement integrated care plans based on the individual assessments, ensuring access to necessary linked services tailored to each client's needs.
  • \n
  • Provide brief, focused prevention, treatment, and recovery services, ensuring interventions are aligned with clients’ presenting issues and service requests.
  • \n
  • Carry a manageable caseload, providing therapy in various formats such as individual, group, and family counseling.
  • \n
  • Assist in crisis intervention and stabilization efforts as required, ensuring client safety and well-being at all times.
  • \n
  • Monitor clients’ progress throughout their treatment journey, overseeing admissions, continued treatment plans, and discharge criteria.
  • \n
  • Complete timely documentation of client interactions and submit necessary reports to maintain adherence to regulatory standards and organizational policies.
  • \n
  • Participate actively in agency committees to contribute to the continuous improvement of service quality and delivery.
  • \n
Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on serving individuals who are facing significant mental health difficulties, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). This role entails working closely with a diverse group of clients, some of whom may come from historically marginalized communities, making cultural competency and sensitivity essential to your work. You will be instrumental in helping clients navigate their challenges and achieve better mental health outcomes while ensuring they feel heard, respected, and supported in their journey to recovery.

Qualifications\n
    \n
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related field is required.
  • \n
  • A current and valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential.
  • \n
  • Minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience, preferably in a similar setting.
  • \n
  • Ability to work effectively within a diverse and collaborative environment.
  • \n
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and team members.
  • \n
Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of clinical experience is required, candidates with experience specifically in hospice care, palliative services, or working with underserved populations will be highly regarded. Familiarity with therapeutic modalities applicable to the treatment of mental health disorders—including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care practices—will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n
