Classification Title:Adjunct – Electrical Instructor (Pool)Department:I/C ElectricityPhysical Demands:Able to traverse campus, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, reaching, handling, fine dexterity, bending, vision, hearing, and talking.Job Summary/Basic Function:Adjunct Instructors are hired in a part-time capacity on an as needed basis. These positions are filled prior to or during each semester and are contingent upon the needs of the College.Brazosport College accepts application materials for pool positions on a continuing basis throughout the year from qualified applicants willing to teach on a part-time basis.Academic departments will contact potential applicants when there are available openings.Job duties include, but are not limited to:Reports to the Division Chair of Mechanical and Construction TechnologiesTeaches Electrical classes using traditional and alternative delivery methodsCCPICollege benefits do not accrue with this part-time position.Minimum Qualifications:This position requires one of the following:An Associate’s degree in Industrial/Commercial Electricity and a minimum of three years of non-teaching wage earning experience in the occupational field,orAn advanced college certificate in Industrial/Commercial Electricity and a State of Texas Master Electrician License plus three years of experience as a Master ElectricianExcellent written and oral communication skillsOther qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one’s value to the institutionInterest in alternative instructional delivery methodsExceptional employment or educational qualifications may be given special consideration #J-18808-Ljbffr Brazosport-College
