Operating Room Registered Nurse

The position is for an Operating Room Registered Nurse on day shifts. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting, with consideration for 2 years if accompanied by strong skills. Experience in general operating room procedures and robotics is essential. First-time travelers are welcome, provided they have robust general operating room experience. The role includes circulating and scrubbing for a variety of surgical specialties, including trauma, urology, podiatry, orthopedics, plastics, neurosurgery, gynecology, and thoracic procedures. This is a Level II trauma center, and the nurse will be required to float to general operating room as necessary. On-call shifts are part of the schedule, approximately 10-15 shifts during the contract period. Weekend work is required and may include on-call shifts. The nurse will be responsible for patient care in a one-on-one patient-to-nurse ratio. Familiarity with Da Vinci robotics systems and a range of surgical procedures is necessary. Compliance with health and safety protocols and infection control standards is expected. Candidates must be prepared for a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
