Staff Research Associate I (40% limited)

Overview The Department of Neurology is seeking to hire a Staff Research Associate I to support ongoing drug discovery research projects under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI) and supervision of the DDL Director of Operations. The incumbent will assist with chemical synthesis, purification and characterization of compounds, cell culture studies, biological assays, and pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic research activities. The position requires close collaboration with the research team and offers the opportunity to develop technical expertise in a dynamic drug discovery environment. Responsibilities Operate laboratory equipment such as AlphaLISA, fluorescence plate readers, HPLC, MS, and NMR instruments. Maintain accurate research records and documentation of experimental results. Provide administrative support for grants, laboratory orders, and general research operations. Support chemical synthesis, purification, and characterization of compounds as part of drug discovery studies. Contribute to cell culture studies, biological assays, and pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic research activities. Collaborate closely with the research team and PI to advance project goals.
