About This Role
Plan, create and implement age-appropriate activities, games and crafts that encourage learning and socialization
Confer with parents and staff to discuss educational activities and policies and students' behavioral or learning problems. Monitor students' progress and provide students and teachers with assistance in resolving any problems. Follow Department of Social Services requirements Teach classes. providing direct care to children. Set educational standards and goals and help establish policies, procedures, and programs to carry them out.
What You'll Do- Confer with parents and staff to discuss educational activities and policies and students' behavioral or learning problems.
- Monitor students' progress and provide students and teachers with assistance in resolving any problems.
- Recruit, new families to our Childcare center to increase enrollment.
- Teach classes and provide direct care to children.
- Set educational standards and goals and help establish policies, procedures, and programs to carry them out.
- Determine the scope of educational program offerings and prepare drafts of program schedules and descriptions to estimate staffing and facility requirements.
- Purchase needed supplies, materials, and equipment as needed.
- Prepare and maintain attendance, activity, or personnel reports and records for officials and agencies, or direct preparation and maintenance activities.
- Plan, direct, and monitor instructional methods and content of educational, vocational, or student activity programs.
- Review and interpret government codes and develop procedures to meet codes and to ensure facility safety, security, and maintenance.
- Review and evaluate new and current programs to determine their efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with state, local, and federal regulations and recommend any necessary modifications.
- Inform businesses , and community groups, about our educational need and available programs,
- Write articles, manuals, and other publications and assist in the distribution of promotional literature about programs and facilities.
- Prepare and submit budget requests or grant proposals to solicit program funding.
- Organize and direct committees of specialists, volunteers, and staff to provide technical and advisory assistance for programs.
- High School Diploma
- 1 year experience working in a Licensed or registered Child Care Center
- Have some supervisor experience
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to get up from the floor
- Will have to submit to a background check
- Will have to submit to fingerprinting
- Will be required to take Adult/child/infant CPR
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education
- Experience working with children and adults
- 1 year experience working in a licensed or registered Child Care Center
