The role We’re hiring a Product Design Engineer to bridge product design and implementation. You will: design key workflows and UI patterns own and build the design system ship frontend changes into production This is not a pure design role and not a traditional software engineering role. You should be comfortable moving between design thinking and hands-on frontend execution, with enough technical awareness to design solutions that are feasible and robust. What you’ll do Own UX from concept → shipped UI for new features and improvements. Translate ambiguous problems into clear flows, interaction patterns, and polished UI. Build and maintain a design system (components, tokens, patterns, documentation) that enables speed and consistency. Ship simple UI changes independently, and partner with engineers on more complex features (data modeling, edge cases, architecture). What we’re looking for Think in terms of If we open-sourced this tomorrow, would you be proud to say this was your work? Must-haves Strong product design taste (layout, typography, hierarchy, interaction design). Ability to implement frontend UI (React/TypeScript or similar). Practical understanding of UI state/data flow (you think in states, not just screens). Comfortable using AI tooling to accelerate implementation while maintaining quality. Strong collaboration and communication — especially in engineer partnerships. Nice-to-haves Experience owning or rebuilding a design system. Experience with complex B2B / workflow-heavy products.
