Exciting opportunity available for an Occupational Therapist to provide contract-based, part-time therapy services to students in a supportive school environment near Douglasville, GA. This role focuses on delivering targeted occupational therapy services to two 5th and 6th grade students, working closely with educators and special education staff to promote student independence and classroom participation.

Key Qualifications:

• Active and valid Georgia Occupational Therapist license and GaPSC certification (both required)
• Prior experience in a school setting is preferred
• Background in working with students with disabilities is beneficial
• Ability to provide in-person, onsite services in accordance with school policies
• Completion of required background clearances
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct occupational therapy services for two students, with 30 minutes of therapy per week per student, ideally starting at 2:30 PM
• Address fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional daily living skills as related to educational goals
• Collaborate with teachers, special education, and related service providers to implement IEP-driven supports
• Recommend strategies, accommodations, and modifications to maximize student success in the classroom
• Track student progress, maintain thorough documentation, and participate in regular communication with the educational team
• Ensure all therapy services are fully compliant with IEP mandates and state regulations
