Area Manager – Maintenance (USA) Position Summary: Oversees maintenance operations for a large distribution center, ensuring equipment reliability, safety compliance, and financial performance. Responsibilities Communicate goals and manage staffing, scheduling, and workload to achieve facility objectives. Monitor and analyze business reports to track productivity and budget performance. Ensure associates are trained on logistics policies and procedures, monitoring compliance. Identify and resolve customer or supplier concerns, providing corrective actions. Supervise, develop, and evaluate associates and leaders, including hiring, coaching, and promotion. Manage maintenance department daily operations: warehouse equipment, HVAC, electrical, air compressors, refrigeration, plumbing, and general building repairs. Ensure compliance with OSHA, hazardous waste, NFPA, storm water, DOT, and other regulations. Track expenses and capital expenditures, monitoring asset utilization and preparing reports. Build a high‑performing, inclusive culture that values integrity, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s Degree or technical certification in an industrial‑related field and 1 year supervisory experience in a maintenance department. OR Bachelor’s Degree in business, industrial, or related field. OR 1 year supervisory experience in a maintenance environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers or supervisors, managing workloads, and participating in hiring and promotion. OR 2 years Walmart logistics maintenance experience, including six months leading a work or project team. OR 2 years supervisory experience in an industrial setting with 1 year maintenance experience. Preferred Qualifications Compliance, general maintenance, Microsoft Office, refrigeration equipment for supermarkets, supervising associates, and warehouse management systems knowledge.
