Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)United Health Services (UHS) is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver compassionate care in diverse clinical environments. The LPN will assist with patient assessments, administer medications, provide treatments, and support patient care under the guidance of a registered nurse or provider. This is either because there are multiple openings at different sites, or the successful candidate will be required to float across multiple UHS facilities. Talk with your recruiter to learn more.Job ResponsibilitiesPerforms clinical assignments within scope of practice to maximize patient experience and ensure patient safety.Promotes and facilitates the compliance and understanding of Joint Commission, NYS DOH, Infection Control and all regulatory standards.Under the direction of a provider or RN, educates patient and family in health promotion and disease management using available resources.Utilizes a working knowledge of pharmacology and safely administers medications according to UHS Hospitals policy.Maintains CLIA Waived Lab standards and performs CLIA Waived Lab testing and proficiency validations according to regulatory standards.
