Job Opportunity

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Registered Nurse to provide advanced care for patients experiencing severe medical conditions, including but not limited to heart attacks, strokes, shock, trauma, and respiratory distress. This role requires expertise in critical care nursing within a high-acuity environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assessing patients' conditions to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
Treating wounds and administering advanced life support as necessary.
Assisting physicians in performing various medical procedures.
Monitoring and recording patient vital signs closely.
Ensuring the proper functioning and adjustment of ventilators, monitors, and other medical equipment.
Administering intravenous fluids and medications efficiently.
Performing suctioning procedures when required.
Collaborating with the critical care team to optimize patient outcomes.
Responding to life-threatening situations while adhering to established nursing standards and protocols.
Acting as an advocate for patients and their families.
Providing education and emotional support to patients and their families throughout treatment.
Caring for both pre-operative and post-operative patients as needed.

Requirements

Current ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association.
Active Texas RN or multi-state RN license.
Relevant clinical experience, preferably in critical care settings.
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
