Production Machinists

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Machinists to join our dynamic manufacturing team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform set up and operation of machinery (lathe and/or mill) in order to prepare metallic and non-metallic parts required in the production of products.

-Review blueprints, drawings and specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of part/product, sequence of operations and/or set up requirements

-Measure, mark and otherwise indicate the dimensions and reference points on the part or material to be used as guides for subsequent machining

-Select, align and secure the holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines to include mills, lathes and grinders

-Calculate and set controls to regulate various machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow and depth and angle of cut

-Start and observe machine operation to detect any malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, adjust as necessary

-Verify conformance of finished part to ensure it meets specifications

-Confer with production personnel, supervisors and/or others to resolve machining or assembly issues

-Perform daily maintenance duties and/or notify supervisor of any equipment-related issues that may require attention

-Maintain and clean and orderly work area

-Responsible for performing dimensional inspections on in-process parts

-Vocation training preferred or two plus years of machining experience in a manufacturing setting.

Work Environment:

This job operates in an environment where the employee may be exposed to wet or humid conditions, working around moving mechanical parts.
