Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others? Join a traveling Physical Therapist assignment in Wallingford, CT at an outpatient clinic where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing a new location. Evaluate assigned patients, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and document care in accordance with physician direction and clinic policies. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, supervise discipline-specific services as assigned, and participate in student education and professional development. Maintain professional licensure, comply with state practice acts, and follow organizational safety and performance improvement initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Connecticut state physical therapy license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Outpatient physical therapy experience preferred, including evaluation, plan of care development, and functional goal setting.
• Experience with documentation of goals, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry preferred.
• Ability to follow clinic policies for safe patient handling and infection control.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising students or providing clinical education.
• Familiarity with performance improvement processes and participation in quality initiatives.
• Experience working in fast-paced outpatient environments and managing varied caseloads.

Assignment Details

• Shift pattern: 5x8.
