This position involves providing post-operative and critical care to patients, with responsibilities including monitoring recovery, recording vital signs, managing pain and side effects, updating medical records, and educating patients and families. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. Job Details Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state/district; Recent PACU/Preoperative experience; Minimum 2 years ICU experience; Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program; BSN preferred; Valid PALS, BLS, and ACLS certifications; CPAN, TNCC, and CCRN are highly desirable. Schedule: Day shift, 3 twelve-hour shifts per week totaling 36 hours, with Saturday and weekend on-call shifts. Saturday day shift is from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, on-call Saturday night from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, and Sunday to Saturday on-call shifts. Applicants must select 2 day and 2 night on-call shifts within an 8-week schedule. Float: Float rotation may be required. Additional Information: Applicants must reside at least 50 miles away from the facility. On-call shifts are required, and the schedule includes weekend work. Travelers are to choose a Saturday to work as part of their 8-week schedule, with a typical assignment requiring 1-2 weekend shifts in total.
