Location: Huron, SD

Start Date: 08-05-2026

End Date: 11-04-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients per physician orders and referrals, creating personalized therapy plans
• Develop and update individualized treatment and discharge plans to help patients regain independence
• Deliver skilled occupational therapy services that improve daily living skills and quality of life
• Document services accurately and timely to ensure continuity of care
• Supervise COTAs in line with practice acts and facility policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams and families to support each patient's goals
• Maintain compliance with all safety, regulatory, and facility standards

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (MOT or OTD)
• Active state OT license in South Dakota or ability to obtain one
• Strong clinical, documentation, and communication skills
• New graduates welcome to apply

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (MOT/OTD)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient evaluation and treatment planning
• Therapy delivery and discharge planning
• Supervision of certified occupational therapy assistants
• Interdisciplinary collaboration and family education
• Accurate documentation and regulatory compliance
• Strong communication and clinical reasoning
