Valor Therapy Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in a full-time capacity. Work Environment
This full-time position offers flexibility with a remote work setting, allowing you to deliver care from the comfort of your own space while still being connected to our outpatient office in Arvada. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to support telehealth services and ensure that the highest standards of care are maintained. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., providing a structured work week conducive to maintaining a work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms presented by clients during initial and ongoing sessions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are tailored to meet the specific needs, preferences, and goals of each client, applying evidence-based interventions.
- Utilize recognized therapeutic methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in treatment sessions.
- Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care practices to empower them in their recovery journey.
- Continuously monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to respond to changing needs and circumstances.
- Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to mental health care.
- Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to continually enhance client care strategies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with HIPAA and ethical standards.
- Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and training sessions to foster a culture of learning and support among staff.
- Advocate for clients' needs and promote mental health awareness within the community.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This role primarily involves working with diverse individuals facing mood disorders and emotional challenges, including the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence. As a therapist, you will play a pivotal role in providing stability and support to clients who often navigate complex life circumstances. Qualifications
- Must hold a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
- A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
- Demonstrated capability in building trusting therapeutic relationships through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possess a compassionate, empathetic, and nonjudgmental attitude towards clients and their challenges.
- Strong organizational and time management skills are essential for balancing client caseloads and administrative duties.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in outpatient therapy settings, especially with clients suffering from mood disorders.
- Familiarity with treatment methodologies such as CBT and DBT.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, including homeless individuals or those affected by trauma.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
