School Resource Officer

JOB SUMMARY : To support and facilitate the educational process with the Randolph County School System by providing a safe and secure environment through the enforcement of state laws, the preservation of public order, the protection of life and property, and the prevention, detection or investigation of crime. QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent;
2. Two years as a Georgia POST certified peace officer, or able to complete the State of Georgia POST peace officer basic mandate training course within 12 months of employment;
3. Must possess a valid Georgia driver's license;
4. Must be bondable in accordance with Georgia Code Section 36-8-3, and must be capable of qualifying with a firearm on the existing firearms qualifications course(s);
5. Must be at least 21 years old, and a citizen of the United States;
6. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate.
