Business Intelligence Analyst

Job Title: Business Intelligence Analyst; FLSA Status: Exempt; Department: Client Technology; Reports to: Senior Business Intelligence Architect; Location: Proctor – 166. Job Summary As a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst, you will develop and maintain BI reports and dashboards, retrieve and analyze data using SQL, and collaborate with stakeholders to provide actionable insights. Essential Duties and Functions Develop, design, test, and maintain BI reports and dashboards. Retrieve, manipulate, and analyze data from multiple sources using SQL. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data requirements and provide tailored solutions. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency throughout BI architecture. Identify trends, patterns, and insights from data to support business strategies. Create and maintain documentation for data processes, report configurations, and analytical methodologies. Conduct data validation and troubleshoot to resolve any issues in dashboards, reports, or data. Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data analytics and business intelligence. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or equivalent work experience. 1–3 years’ experience in a similar position. Proficient with MS Office Suite. Proficient with Microsoft T‑SQL. Proficient with Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik. Exceptional telephone demeanor and high confidentiality. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. At least 3 years experience developing and supporting BI reports and dashboards. Preferred Experience developing and supporting Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models. Experience with Jira, Confluence, or equivalent task/project management tools. Business analysis experience. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R. Physical Requirements Manual dexterity, arm and upper body range of motion sufficient for use of a keyboard, mouse and telephone 7-8 hours per day. Speech and hearing sufficient for in-person and telephone communication 7-8 hours per day. Vision sufficient for use of a computer monitor. Sedentary position. Ability to sit at a desk 7-8 hours per day. Workers are not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions. Lifting and/or carrying ( Manipulate small and/or large bulky objects. Standing, reaching, kneeling, stooping, bending, pushing and pulling may be required.
