Medical Technologist

Shift: 8 10-hour nights followed by 6 nights off. Wednesday – Wednesday 9:30 PM – 8:00 AM then Thursday to Tuesday off.

Rotations Would Be:

• Wed, Jan 7 – Wed, Jan 14
• Wed, Jan 21 – Wed, Jan 28
• Wed, Feb 4 – Wed, Feb 11
• Wed, Feb 18 – Wed, Feb 25
• Wed, Mar 4 – Wed, Mar 11
• Wed, Mar 18 – Wed, Mar 25

Is on-call REQ? No call Weekend REQ: Rotating Weekends & Holidays -- (Every other weekend)

Will this traveler float between service lines? No, strictly Microbiology

Required/Preferred: Years of experience REQ: I would prefer applicants with at least 3 years experience First-timers accepted: yes Education/Cert Required: Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or relevant medical or scientific discipline. Certification as a Medical Technologist by ASCP BOC or equivalent or relevant specialty lab certification.

Experience Highly Preferred: Micro and Beaker experience. Experience REQ: Culture set up and Gram stain reading and reporting

Details on position: Looking for experience in plating, reading Gram stains, and performing rapid molecular testing (BioFire Torch panels and Cepheid assays)

Miscellaneous Radius rule? Yes, 60 miles. Are locals accepted? Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less than the posted bill rate. RTO Restrictions for Client Offers: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs. Guaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. Medical Technologists support high quality laboratory testing in a clinical laboratory.
