Senior Solutions Engineer – Oil, Gas, Energy Location: Houston, TX / Austin, TX / Dallas, TX We are looking for pre‑sales professionals who have a successful track record helping large oil, gas, and energy enterprises become more data‑driven. The Senior Solutions Engineer defines and directs the technical strategy for our largest and most important oil, gas, and energy accounts, leading to widespread adoption of Databricks products and deeper use of ML & AI. Key Responsibilities Serve as the main technical voice for Databricks across multiple client accounts. Lead customers through a transformational journey, evaluating and adopting Databricks solutions as part of their strategy. Implement the technical strategy in the account, working closely with sales and technical peers to drive business outcomes. Build a movement of technical champions within the account. Align technical strategies around Databricks solutions. Coordinate with the sales team to maximize success in accounts. Desired Qualifications Proficiency at establishing and leading virtual teams to success within an account. Experience working with very large (> $1M ARR), global accounts. Strong relationship‑building skills with executives and influencers. Ability to present a convincing point‑of‑view to key decision‑makers. Technical background in big data, data science, and cloud (Azure & AWS). Experience with data‑driven business transformation and change management. Production programming experience in Python, R, Scala, or Java. Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, or Azure certification is a plus. Pay Range Transparency Zone 3 Pay Range: $152,300 — $209,450 USD (based on location, experience, and skill set).
