Job Details: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our vibrant team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, month-end close, grant accounting, and annual budget planning. Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and conformance with professional accounting standards and best practices.
• Ensure a smooth and accurate month-end close process, including the preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Manage grant accounting, ensuring compliance with grantor regulations and requirements, and providing financial reporting as required.
• Lead the annual budget planning process, working closely with department heads and senior management to develop and finalize budgets.
• Analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections for senior management, board members, and external stakeholders.
• Assist with the development and implementation of new accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Participate in financial audits, coordinating with external auditors and ensuring all required documentation is provided in a timely manner.
• Provide financial guidance and advice to senior management, helping to drive strategic decision-making and business planning.
• Stay abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation, ensuring the company remains in compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or CPA certification is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, month-end close, grant accounting, and annual budget planning.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve accounting and financial issues.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
